Why is spectral transmission important?
Spectral transmission is only important if your application calls for light to pass through the epoxy. Applications include LED light sensors, protective coatings, and potting applications where components need to be seen. If epoxy transmission is not sufficient, light will not fully pass through resulting a dimmer light or hazy visuals.
EB-107LP-1 is an extremely low viscosity epoxy system with a mixed viscosity of 100-200cps. It is a non-toxic epoxy and is USP Class VI certified for biocompatibility. Suggested medical devices include catheters, ultrasound transducers, hand and tooling, dental, and endoscopic products. Due to its low viscosity, it is very easy to degas and remove entrapped air making it very useful as a doming resin for LEDs. EB-107LP-1 can also be used to dome other items such as labels, key fobs, and magnets.
