One of the most sought after materials are extremely low viscosity epoxies. Many applications of gap filling, coating, and sealing require a very low viscosity. While it is a relative term, a low viscosity epoxy must still be a high quality polymer and be able to withstand heat, moisture, and shock while still maintaining a strong bond. How do we know it is low viscosity by just looking at the numbers? The easiest way is to compare it to everyday liquids we know.
EB-107LP-1 is an extremely low viscosity epoxy system with a mixed viscosity of 100-200cps. It is a non-toxic epoxy and is USP Class VI certified for biocompatibility. EB-107LP-1 can be used as an adhesive, encapsulant, sealant, and coating. Suggested medical devices include catheters, ultrasound transducers, hand and tooling, dental, and endoscopic products.
