EB-130M-1
Are all epoxy systems hazardous?
EB-130M-1
Most industrial epoxy systems are hazardous for shipping purposes. This generally comes from the curing agents which are many times classified as corrosive. Hazardous materials cost more to transport, sometimes exceeding the value of the cargo. Using standard couriers, an added fee of $25-35 per box is added on top of their standard rates. International fees are even higher and some preferred couriers do not even transport hazardous materials. This can put a financial and logistical strain on buyers. EB-130M-1 is non-hazardous epoxy system that will not be subject to exorbitant transport fees.
EB-130M-1 is a low viscosity, USP-Class VI certified epoxy system that is not hazardous for shipping. Used in disposable cardiac catheters as an epoxy base for backing material, EB-130M-1 can be loaded with several different fillers and additives to accommodate different applications. On its own, EB-130M-1 is used to encapsulate small electronics and as a matching layer in acoustic technology.
